Flame Health are currently working with a very popular Healthcare company who are looking for a Specialist MSK Physiotherapist to join their great team in the Luton area
Physiotherapists with a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions operate within the community to treat GP referrals, providing a high level of care and physiotherapy to patients with diverse and sometimes complex medical conditions. As part of their well-established musculoskeletal team, you will perform physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to an independent caseload of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, backed up by experienced ESPs and senior colleagues.
Responsibilities within this role will include:
Recognise the need for encouragement, motivation, negotiation and reassurance skills to facilitate rehabilitation and support the patient towards self-management.
To be clinically responsible for patients accepted on to the caseload and to organise this with regards to clinical priorities.
To undertake assessment of patients.
Evaluate outcomes of treatment as appropriate.
Provide specialist advice and reports on patient care to other health services.
Assess patient understanding of treatment proposal and document valid informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment
