Our client are searching for a clinical Director within Luton to promote the reputation of their surgeries within the local area. You will engage with commissioners and other NHS stakeholders to build good working relationships and partnerships. The Regional Medical Director (RMD) will be the clinical governance champion for the surgeries and ensure commitment to quality and patient outcome focused care. You will work closely with the Regional Operations Managers to develop the practice team to deliver safe, efficient, effective and value for money care and service delivery. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clinical Leadership
  • To project clinical credibility as an experienced GP within the locality, networking and engaging with other local clinical and non-clinical leaders
  • Promote of culture of high-quality care and to ensure compliance with all national and local regulatory requirements including CQC standards.
  • Promote partnerships and joint working within the local health economy to deliver quality services and a sustainable business. Initiate, develop and maintain excellent third-party relationships e.g. with CCGs, NHSE Area Teams, sub-contractor providers, patient groups, local community health teams and other stakeholders to grow, maintain and support service and performance delivery.
  • Attend networking events to optimise local integration opportunities and support the delivery of service and growth of surgery within the local health economy
  • Promote clinical collaboration and communication within TPG to ensure delivery of clinical and commercial priorities across the business.
  • Work with Operational and Business Development leads to optimise income, profitability and business growth
  • Maintain a full, accurate and up to date knowledge of industry changes and legislative requirements
  • To provide clinical leadership and support to the site Clinical Leads, GPs, Nurses and Trainees ensuring clarity of roles, clinical induction, continuing professional development, supporting and monitoring clinical performance and productivity
  • To be a key team player and the ‘go to’ person for clinical issues at locality level
  • Develop and deliver a programme of regular clinical practice meetings ideally weekly but at least monthly, with minutes and action points
  • To take ownership and ensure development and delivery of clinical protocols/procedures, clinical systems use, evidence based practice, medicines management,
