Job Description:

As a result of seeing treble digit growth with strategic plans to take the business into the next phase of its evolution, we are recruiting for a Business Development Executive to look after the North of the UK. Our client manufactures Contact Lens Care (Solutions) and Ocular Health (Dry Eye Drops) and has been manufacturing Eye Care Solutions since 1981 and supply over 80 countries. 

The position we are recruiting for, is that of a Business Development Executive reporting to the UK & Ireland Country Manager. Region responsibility Yorkshire, North West, North East & Scotland.
Ideal location is within easy access of M62 / M6 north as well as the A1.

  • Package:
    • Basic salary c£28 - £32k negotiable depending upon experience and skill set

  • Candidate profile:
    • Sales professional who is tenacious, hungry, passionate for success and has the ability to grow within the company to the next level of Regional Sales Manager.
    • Knowledge of multiple and the Independent optical sector, within the industry is a must.
    • Someone who will bring new ideas to the table and can see projects through to a successful conclusion.
    • An independent individual and not someone who is easily lead by others.
    • Good sense of humour, with a great personality to build strong customer/business relationships.
    • A team player and supportive of colleagues and line management.
    • Not afraid of hard work and is prepared to manage their region to the full.
    • Will go the extra mile for the customer.
  • The customer base is a mix of Independent Opticians and National Accounts. This role will be highly focussed in building awareness of their Private Label range, educating all store colleagues from retail front of house to Optometrists and the Directors.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a fast-paced business, where every order counts and planning and preparation is key to success.
  • New business development as well as taking care of and growing the existing customer base in this high opportunity sales region is both exciting and challenging and for the right person they will achieve a great sense of personal achievement and the potential to develop within the company.
