Dental Therapist Jobs in the Bournemouth Area

This well-established, mixed independent dental practice located in Dorset is currently looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated therapist to join it’s friendly team. Working accross two locations, the practices offer state of the art technology and the very latest equipment to assure consistency in the quality of care delivered.
Within this position you will be working between 8.30am - 5.30pm (the practice can be flexible on this dependent on your availability).You will be working with a full patient book to 20 minute - 1 hour appointments in your own modern, well equipped, air conditioned surgery with a window and the assistance of an experienced Dental Nurse.
You will be doing both dental hygiene and dental therapy as part of this role, roughly a 50/50 split. This position would suit either an experienced or recently qualified candidate who is motivated and dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care.
As the successful Therapist at this practice you will be required to deliver a variety of procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and satisfied with their treatment at all times. You must have excellent communication skills and a calm and collected manner with the ability to put patients at ease before treatment begins, making sure the patient is well aware of the treatment being carried out and why.
You will also be required to check dental notes thoroughly along with medical history and x-rays, providing routine scale and polish and educating patient in oral health in order to maintain good oral hygiene by using oral hygiene aids such as I.D brushes and floss along with regular tooth brushing.
It is also highly important that you have the ability to accurately record patient notes after treatment including treatment carried out and any problems encountered.
This position is to work on a self employed basis and the client are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
