Flame Health Optical Sales have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager in eyeSouth-Wales & the South-West, with our client who are an up and coming European player in Ophthalmology.This role offers a rare opportunity to continue establishing the young commercial arm of this company in the UK Ophthalmology market place.
In this role you will become part of a very small but highly competitive sales team to drive sales for a unique dry eye product portfolio both in key ophthalmic specialist units throughout the UK, in addition to driving sales in rural dispensing GP Practices using the company’s highly attractive manufacturer discount scheme. You can anticipate a busy and exciting role.
This Ophthalmology Key Account Manager is a very unique Hospital KAM Sales role, where the KAM will additionally have autonomy to be able to offer a unique commercial discount to Dispensing Doctors in primary care to help supplement the hospital referral business.
Our client are currently selling a portfolio of 5 related dry eye products into hospital eye departments, with a 6th product being launched in January 2017. These products are technically classed as devices, but are very much pharmaceutical in terms of how they are sold in to the NHS.
This role is a heavily sales based role and 70% of appraisal rating is on sales outcomes. Bonus payments are based 100% on sales. Somebody with experience in secondary care is highly desired but not essential. the client do however require someone with a minimum 1 year medical sales experience - albeit of any kind - pharmaceuticals, devices, hospitals or primary care.
The sucessful candidate will be highly determined to succeed and be able to develop instant rapport with customers. They will be a highly able salesperson with a proven track record in medical sales will be essential. The client do expect that the candidate is at least degree level educated although any subject is fine, does not have to be a science degree.
This is a perminent role, with a 6 month probationary period. In return you will be rewarded with a competitive package and entry into the UK bonus scheme. They are a very small team in a huge growth phase, so it’s all hands on deck as they drive to establish themselves!
