Flame Health Optical Sales are currently working with a client to help recruit an Optical Software Training Consultant in the Home Counties.
The company provides ophthalmic equipment for examination, diagnosis, treatment as well as optometric instruments for refraction and eye-glass lens processing.
Our client is looking for a confident and articulate candidate who can work autonomously or as part of a team. You will have the ability to learn the features and benefits of their products and be able to communicate this effectively with clients. The right person will be responsible for the provision of the software implementation, technical support and customer training for their company.
Duties and responsibilities:

• Implementation of the products practice management software at the customer sites
• Provision of training and support both remotely and at customer sites
• Troubleshooting and resolution of technical support issues
• Provide detailed feedback where issues require escalation to the development team
• Provide technical and non-technical product support to customers and colleagues
• Be able and comfortable in providing IT and technical support to the company’s range of IT products and its connectivity options and applications

Knowledge and skills required:

• Optical practice experience / qualified Dispensing Optician
• Experience with IT hardware / software and operating systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and a basic understanding of databases
• Experience in an Optometric environment
• Good communication skills
• Experience in training and application

This position is Nationwide but ideally will be southern based. Some weekend work may be required and travelling will be required including over night hotel stays when necessary.
