Have you been removed from the GOC register?

Flame Health Optometry mentioned not too long ago that Optical professionals needed to re register with the GOC before the March 31st deadline.
It is disappointing to hear that the GOC has removed 93 optometrists and 102 dispensing opticians from the register. Unfortunately these practitioners are unable to practice until their registration is restored. And this now comes at a hefty cost of £330.
Are you an optometrist or a dispensing optician who missed the deadline? Are you now losing out because you can't practice? What were your reasons that the deadline was missed. Please let Flame Health Optometry know.
