The World Council of Optometry (WCO) has launched a search for its International Optometrist of the Year.
If you have made an outstanding contribution to the development of optometry worldwide the you could be in line for this accolade! 
WCO president, Tone Garaas-Maurdalen, said:
"This award is a fantastic way for the global optometric community to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our friends and colleagues. There are many optometrists around the world who make an outstanding contribution to the profession, and I urge our members to recognise their commitment by nominating them for this award."
Nominations can be submitted online at www.worldoptometry.org/IOY by February 24 and the winner will be announced during the WCO conference in Chicago, USA in June.
