The REC has recently commented that a number of latest events and client meetings have focused on the importance of employer branding within the recruitment process. The REC's  National Convention included examples of this from leading employers.
Picking up on this, Roger Tweedy, the REC’s Director of Research says:
"Employer branding will continue to be a hot topic and is often cited by client organisations as the main reason for taking more recruitment in-house and making less use of intermediaries. We need to turn this argument on its head by demonstrating the role that recruiters can and are playing as 'brand ambassadors' for their clients."
"One of the best ways of doing this is to use counter-examples of employers who are using agencies as genuine partners and advisors in this area."
