Employed Practitioners Conference

For the first time ever, the AOP is holding a conference specifically aimed at the employed optometric community.

The Conference will provide Optometrists with an opportunity to become better informed on various employment issues and your rights under the transfer of undertakings regulations (TUPE). Other important issues to be covered will include the subtleties within the taxation status of locum practitioners and how this may be interpreted by HMRC, Professional Indemnity Insurance and how the limitations of your employer’s vicarious liability insurance may not cover you to your best advantage, the complexities arising from situations involving referral and re-examination issues and finally, for those of you who may be interested in changing or expanding your professional role, Flame Healths Training and Development Manager, David Gilbert, will inform you of the many and varied modes of practice available to you.

The Conference will be held at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, Nr. Warwick on Sunday, 28 October.
