Flame Health Optical Sales Jobs – Regional Optical Account Manager – London & Home Counties 

Flame Health Optical Sales is seeking an Optical Sales Manager across various locations in the London area and Home Counties on behalf of one of the World’s leading companies providing Ophthalmic Optical Products.

Your role as the Regional Account Manager would be to acquire new business and maintain and grow current sales through increasing business levels and improving quality product mix quality to UK independent opticians. You will utilise the full range of our client’s product portfolio to ensure the UK Partner Labs become the customers preferred supplier for both product and services. You will also develop, build and maintain relationships to produce sales turnover and profitability in line with company targets and budgets.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To maintain a consistent call programme in field for both the brand and UK Partner Labs Accounts across the geographical area to increase sales
  • To sell in full the range of products and services by negotiation with opticians and lab owners
  • To present all relevant marketing/commercial activity to key personnel agreeing actions and processes required to ensure its success
  • To regularly review with all customers their business levels, product mix and supplier preferences promoting the brand and UK Partner Lab
  • To agree and implement customer training, both in practice and in seminar format, on all new and existing products to improve added value sales
  • To maintain accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts to ensure that sales data and market activity can be analysed accurately
  • To ensure that knowledge of competitor product  and activities are continually maintained
  • To continually assess the market, maintaining customer and competitor records to identify opportunities and be able to provide call reports, monthly reports and forward planning sheets as required by Sales Management team
  • At all times to act as an ambassador of the company and its values

Knowledge/ Experience Required For Role:


  • Working on own initiative to tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Computer literate


  • Experience of successful sales account management in related field
  • Knowledge and experience of pricing systems, marketing theory and its application, selling and negotiating techniques
  • Proven track record of delivering effective training and coaching to change behaviour
  • Previous experience of training in group and individual environments
  • Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, Company products and a good understanding of the UK optical market

Working Base/ Travel:

  • Field based with Daily Travel
