They are looking for a professional and enthusiastic Medical Screening Technician to join their dedicated team based in Manchester.

Job Title

Medical Screening Technician

Background

Reporting to the Director of Volunteer Services, you will co-ordinate and assist with screening examinations on volunteers pre and post entering a clinical.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure that CRFs are completed accurately to ICH GCP Guidelines.

· Ensure that samples produced are in the correct tubes and are labelled correctly and that samples are collected in accordance with the study protocol.

· Perform ECG’s, venepuncture and clinical observations in compliance with specific study protocols.

· Maintain and update the electronic diary.

· Advise clinical unit and clinical area when a volunteer may be arriving out of hours for a sample to be taken.

· Scheduling of medicals for all studies, management of allocation of dates to ensure even scheduling and minimal double booking, ensuring communication to other members of the multidisciplinary team.

· Quality control check of CRF’s for all studies, ensuring timely delivery of feedback to Project Managers.

· Assist on the wards as required.

· To co-ordinate activities of Physicians and technical staff working in the Medical Room, ensuring adequate screening staff are available.

· To maintain and update individual training file, reading appropriate SOPs and attending in-house training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

· Biological Science Degree or Relevant Professional Qualification.

· Computer literacy.

· Good oral and written communication skills.
