Flame Health are currently working with a very popular Healthcare company who are looking for a General Practitioner in the West Yorkshire area

As a General Practitioner delivering NHS services you will receive a salary of up to £105,000 - The role is fixed term for 6 months to work 3 sessions per week. You will provide high quality primary care GP services to the practice population and temporary residents as necessary. Such high standards will be achieved by working as part of a multidisciplinary team with other members of the practice and community teams.

Working within a large team, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of other dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals to care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our clients high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the highest clinical standards at all times and in accordance with accepted good medical practice and the various clinical policies of the practice/centre.
  • In accordance with the practice timetable as agreed, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties as expected from a GP including surgery consultations, telephone (or other) consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers
  • Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • In consultation with patients and in line with evidence-based best clinical practice developing treatment and any associated care plans
  • Providing counselling and health education
  • Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
  • Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards

Requirements

  • GMC registration.
  • Hold a MRCGP.
  • On the medical performers list.
  • GP Vocational or additional experience in general practice.
