Flame Health Dentistry - Dental Hygienist Job - South Wales:

An excellent opportunity has arisen within dentistry for an experienced Hygienist to enhance their skills and develop their career working in modern, well superbly equipped, practice in Chepstow, Monmouthshire.

This new state of the art practice is beautifully decorated and has all the latest dental equipment including an intra Oral Camera. The practice is situated inside a hospital and currently has an experienced team of 4 dentists, 1 hygienist and 4 dental nurses and a practice manager. The practice are currently looking for a Hygienist to cover 9 months maternity from June 2008 with the opportunity to go permanent. Within this position the hygienist will see patients 3 days per week - these days can be negotiable dependent on the candidates needs. The hygienist will working to 20+ minute appointment times.

This position would suit an experienced, qualified Hygienist who is motivated and dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care with a minimum of 2 years experience. As the successful Hygienist at this practice you will be required to deliver a variety of procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and satisfied with their treatment at all times. You will have excellent communication skills and a calm and collected manner with the ability to put patients at ease before treatment begins, making sure the patient is well aware of the treatment being carried out and why. You will also be required to check dental notes thoroughly along with medical history and x-rays, providing routine scale and polish and educating patient in oral health in order to maintain good oral hygiene by using oral hygiene aids such as I.D brushes and floss along with regular tooth brushing.

It is also highly important that you have the ability to accurately record patient notes after treatment including treatment carried out and any problems encountered.
