Flame Health Dentistry - Dental Nurse/Receptionist Job - Canton, South Glamorgan

An excellent opportunity has arisen within dentistry for a Full Time Dental Nurse to enhance their skills and develop their career working in a well equipped, modern dental practice in Canton, South Glamorgan. This practice has developed a strong patient-focused approach that is dedicated to achieving and maintaining healthy mouth, gums & teeth. All the staff are committed to continuing professional development and strive to provide high quality dentistry in a friendly environment, where new and existing customers are always welcome, aiming to make visits to the practice a relaxed and anxiety-free experience.

Treatments include: all routine dental treatments, hygienist services for preventative treatments, tooth whitening & aesthetic dentistry, dental implants, crowns & bridges and access to specialist dentists and treatments.

The Person:

Ideally the candidates will be qualified holding the National Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing and have at least 1 years experience as a Dental Nurse with GDC registration, knowledge of the reception area is also essential. Candidates must also be self motivated and possess the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

The Role:

Helping to ensure the patient is well cared for at all times, the candidate will provide chair-side assistance for the dentist in all dental procedures, preparing the surgery, cross infection control, sterilisation of instruments and preparation of materials, staff rota’s, patient lists, training of new staff/recruitment. Reception work will also be required, responsibilities of which will include, meeting and greeting patients, answering telephone calls, booking appointments and handling cash. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
