Flame Health Dentistry - Dental Nurse Job - Oxford:

An excellent opportunity has arisen within dentistry for an experienced Dental Nurse/Receptionist to enhance their skills and develop their career working in a superbly equipped, exclusively private practice in Oxford.

This 4 surgery rapidly growing dental clinci currently consists of 2 full time and 2 part time dentists, 3 part time hygienists, 3 full time and 1 part time dental nurse, 1 receptionsts and the practice manager.

Three of the surgeries are used by the dentists and one used by the hygienists. All are fully equipped with the latest in dental technology.

Candidates will have a welcoming and reassuring manner in order to work with patients of all ages, nationalities and dispositions. They will be calm, friendly and efficient as well as flexible and able to adapt to different patient needs. Ideally the candidate will be qualified holding the National Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or have at least 4 years experience as a Dental Nurse. Preferably they will be IT literate using dental charting software such as Exact SOE and Microsoft Office but full training can be given. They will have a mature and thorough approach to their role with the passion to progress within their field, with an energetic and positive approach to their work and display exceptional communication skills when dealing with patients ensuring they are cared for to a very high standard at all times.

The practice prides itself on individual care and attention to detail therefore it is paramount the candidate has the same ethos. Helping to ensure the patient is well cared for at all times, you will provide chair-side assistance for the dentist in all dental procedures, preparing the surgery, cross infection control, sterilisation of instruments and preparation of materials. Reception work is also required, responsibilities of which will include, meeting and greeting patients, answering telephone calls, booking appointments and handling cash. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
