Flame Health Dentistry - Dental Nurse Job - Bristol:

An excellent opportunity has arisen within dentistry for a full time Dental Nurse to enhance their skills and develop their career working in a well equipped, modern 5 surgery predominantly NHS practice in Bristol.

The ideal candidate will have a welcoming and reassuring manner in order to work with patients of all ages, nationalities and dispositions. They will be calm, friendly and efficient as well as flexible and able to adapt to different patient needs.

The practice has a caring, patient-focused approach to dental care. Practice clinicians are able to provide private quality aesthetic and restorative treatments, whilst experienced hygienists help patients to maintain good oral health. Offering a range of cosmetic tooth art procedures, such as semi-permanent gems, gold crowns and inlays customised to patients own design. Ideally the candidate will be qualified holding the National Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing and have at least 1-2 years experience as a Dental Nurse and be GDC registered.

Positions available: Full time dental nurse and maternity cover/part time.

Preferably they will be IT literate using dental charting software such as Exact SOE and Microsoft Office but full training can be given.

They will have a mature and thorough approach to their role with the passion to progress within their field. They will be energetic and positive in their approach to their work and display exceptional communication skills when dealing with patients ensuring they are cared for to a very high standard at all times. Able to work on their own initiative they will be self motivated as well as able to work well as a team. Helping to ensure the patient is well cared for at all times, you will provide chair-side assistance for the dentist in all dental procedures, preparing the surgery, cross infection control, sterilisation of instruments and preparation of materials. Some reception work may also be required, responsibilities of which will include, meeting and greeting patients, answering telephone calls, booking appointments and handling cash.

Working Hours are Monday – Friday 8.45am – 5pm, with 30 minutes for lunch at 1pm – 1.30 pm.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience, ranges between £6.50-£7.50 p/h negotiable.
