Are you an experienced, qualified Dental Hygienist looking for a new opportunity to expand your skills and experience in a modern, predominantly private, forward thinking, dental practice in the Welshpool area, Powys.

The practice occupies a building that was formerly stables. Whilst retaining the period feel of the building they have installed state-of-the-art dental surgeries, equipped with the most up to date clinical and dental technology. They offer approachable, caring dentistry and give detailed attention to every aspect of their practice, so patients can relax and feel confident that their dental health is in the best hands. The practice endeavour to provide high quality dental care and a first class service in a state-of-the-art practice, supported by an efficient, highly focused and friendly dental team.

Role:

You will be required to provide specific oral hygiene advice through the development of home care plans for individual patients. Give specific advice including advice on the use of fluoride agents, the benefits of smoking cessation and potential change within the mouth relating to medical history and treatments. Demonstrate, teach and monitor comprehensive oral hygiene/plaque control measures to enable patients to take an active and crucial role in treatment and perform scaling and polishing of teeth.

This role is available for 1 days per week on Saturdays working 9am - 1pm to start January 2010.

Candidates will be required to work on a self employed percentage basis.
