We are currently recruiting for an Associate Dentist to join this modern, well equipped practice in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Gainsborough is within easy reach of Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Worsop as well as being close to larger cities such as Nottingham and Sheffield.

This not-for-profit Society, has sought contracts with Primary Care Trusts throughout England to provide NHS Dentistry in areas identified as having acute dental need. The new innovative corporate have received their development budgets and are keen to find a Clinician to join them with this ethos.

This company offers amongst the best in practice environments and equipment plus the opportunity to become involved in the direction of the practice without the usual complications of being a partner or principal. The culture and ethos of the company is to be at the forefront of NHS care both with regards to new techniques available and the best materials therefore promoting better Oral Health through education and care. CPD will also be strongly promoted by the organisation and the aim is to offer the dentist the opportunity to ultimately move their career in their chosen direction.

The position can be offered as a full-time permanent or Locum role or on a permanent basis. There are up to 8,000 UDAs available with the successful dentist receiving £10 of £20 per UDA giving them up to £80,000 per annum.

In addition to these responsibilities additional duties are as follows:

  • To interface between clinical and non-clinical streams to implement company policy, including Clinical Governance initiatives.
  • To appraise, develop clinicians and ensure Continuing Professional Development records are maintained.
  • To support clinical team members by providing second clinical opinions and resolving clinicians concerns where necessary.
  • To ensure compliance with General Dental Council guidance and NHS requirements.
  • To work with the Practice Manager and team to support team development.
  • To Commit to Continuing Professional Development.
  • To Conduct oneself in a manner that builds and maintains a reputation of professionalism.
  • Perform other related duties within the ability to do or to learn that will help maintain a high standard of patient care.

The candidate must also be entitled to practice dentistry in the UK (Full registration with the General Dental Council) and have ideally obtained one year or more working in a general or community dental practice whilst they must also be committed and focused to providing excellent standards of patient care.

The PCT and the practice are creating a new preventative approach to their contract, the only programme of its kind in the whole of the UK. This position would suit a self-motivated individual who is a dental activist with a passion for generating innovative ideas on how NHS dentistry is delivered.
