We are currently recruiting for an associate dentist to join this modern, well equipped practice in Lincoln.

This not-for-profit society, has sought contracts with Primary Care Trusts throughout England to provide NHS Dentistry in areas identified as having acute dental need. The new innovative corporate have received their development budgets and are keen to find a Clinician to join them with this ethos. This company offers the best in practice environments and equipment plus the opportunity to have a say in the direction of the practice without the usual complications of being a partner or principal. The culture and ethos of the company is to be at the forefront of NHS care both with regards to new techniques available and the best materials therefore promoting better Oral Health through education and care. CPD will also be strongly promoted by the organisation and the aim is to offer the dentist the opportunity to move their career in their chosen direction.

The position can be offered as a full - time permanent or Locum role. There are upto 7,000 UDAs available with a gross of £20 per UDA.

In addition to responsibilities as a Dentist duties are as follows:

• To interface between clinical and non-clinical streams to implement company policy, including Clinical Governance initiatives.
• Appraise, develop clinicians and ensure Continuing Professional Development records are maintained.
• Support clinical team members by providing second clinical opinions and resolving clinicians concerns where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with General Dental Council guidance and NHS requirements.
• Work with the Practice Manager and team to support team development.
• Commit to Continuing Professional Development.
• Conduct self in a manner that builds and maintains a reputation of professionalism.
• Perform other related duties within the ability to do or to learn that will help maintain a high standard of patient care.

The candidate must be entitled to practice dentistry in the UK (Full registration with the General Dental Council) and have ideally obtained one year or more working in a general or community dental practice. They will be committed and focused to providing excellent standards of patient care.

The PCT and the practice are creating a new preventative approach to their contract, the first running of such a programme in the whole of the UK. This position would suit a self-motivated individual who is a dental activist in creating new ideas for how NHS dentistry is delivered.
